Drive Samsung tab 10.1 display from Raspi HDMI?

The Samsung tablet's connector can export HDMI-compatible data to an HDMI socket for display on a TV etc. I want to know if it can also import from the Raspi's HDMI data and display it on the tablet and if so what hardware is needed.

No , that is not possible.

The easiest way would be VNC or RDP over a local
wireless/wired/mixed network.

Many thanks for the guidance. I will try to use the tablet to SSH in to the Raspi, or, if not, try to to use VNC as you suggest (assuming SSH or VNC works on the Samsung)..
