hi everyone,
i'm thinking of buying a raspberry pi to use it as a media center with live tv.
i want to play around with raspberry pi and share the results if i'm successful, but right now i'm on a very reduced budget and i'm planning to buy only the board. I've got a power adaptor, usb dvb-t tuner and other accessories from other devices.
my dvb-t is not in the compatibility list of usb tuners.
So the thing is... my dvb-t is currently working in a Debian box. Is there a reason why it shouldn't work?
I've read that the Oss ported to Raspberry include the latest kernels and therefore all the drivers that come with them, but i've also read some people complaining about devices that work in x86 but not in raspberry.
so...
1. is the list of drivers the same than the x86 version?
2. why are some devices not working? do they have higher hardware requirements or it is still unknown?
i know that you can't give a direct answer that a particular device will work, but i would like to know if there's is something else that should take into consideration.
thanks in advance.
