clone a raspberry SD card for another one

Wed May 29, 2013 3:02 am

HI, guys

As a linux noob, I need your help.

One month ago, I bought a raspberry pi and I installed the raspbian on the SD together with some other raspbian programs. It worked great! Just recently I bought another raspberry pi and plan to make an mirror image of 1st SD (with programs installed ) onto the 2nd SD card for the 2nd Pi. After the imaging, the 2nd Pi should have the same programs and configuration as the 1st one. My current main computer is using Windows 7. Step by step instruction would be very helpful.

please help me out. thanks

Find/follow the instructions for "making a backup image of your SD card (Win7)", then restore the image onto the new card.
