Can't Login... Keyboard repeating characters problem

Sat May 18, 2013 11:40 am

Hi,

I've bought 2 pi's and 2 power adapters from RS Components & Allied Electronics (RSC AE). I have one usb keyboard, the Apple keyboard (pre-aluminium).

The problem is that I can't login my pi, because of the well known keyboard repeating problem. for instance, i try to write raspberry and the keyboard throws raaassssppppberryyyy ... or something like that.

Almost everyone says that the problem is bad quality power adapters... but in my case I doubt that 2 pies bought in different days, with 2 powers adapters from RSC AE may be defective.

What can I do ?

Regards
Fak

What OS and how recent ?

This type of apple keyboard bounced keys on early images, and didn't when they'd killed some of the bugs in the USB.
Don't judge Linux by the Pi.......

Latest raspbian version (wheezy), and my keyboard is exactly the one of that photo!

Raspberry pi version B, latest, bought 2 weeks ago!

Have you tried the fiq_split branch?

You'll need to get rpi-update working and do a

sudo BRANCH=fiq_split rpi-update
