Newbie: HDMI not transmitting sound

I've just for my Pi, and I've hooked it up to my TVs hdmi port but in not getting any sound out.

I've edited the config.txt file and I've uncommented the

hdmi_group=1

hdmi_mode=1

And changed it to read
hdmi_mode=4

I rebooted he Pi, but still no sound when the GUI loads up.

Please can someone advise me on what I need to do.

Hi..

Just an update: this was my error.
Sound was coming out of hdmi, it was just that no sound was being played (to long with Windows pcs ).

When I loaded up Scratch and play the sounds options, sound came out of the TV.
