Snapshot / freeze OS?

Sun May 12, 2013 8:54 am

I searched the forum about this, but could not find what I was looking for.

I've configured Raspbian and love it just as it is now. I would like to save a copy of the whole system, so I could use it in the future on other pi's or as a backup.

How do I that?

You can use W32DiskImager to read the SD card and write to hard-disk instead of the other way around. If you have expanded the partition on the SD card then it will take longer and make a correspondingly larger file, but you can always zip it for storage.
