ImportError: No module named gtk

Fri May 03, 2013 2:34 am

Hi Folks,

Attempting to run something called chirp on the pi, but it wants a library for GTK stuff.

I've putzed with it trying various things dug out of google to no avail :-(.

This is what I get when trying to run it:

Code: Select all

pi@raspberrypi ~/chirp/chirp-daily-20130430 $ ./chirpw
CHIRP daily-20130430 on Linux - Debian GNU/Linux 7.0 (Python 2.7.3)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "./chirpw", line 91, in <module>
    import gtk
ImportError: No module named gtk
pi@raspberrypi ~/chirp/chirp-daily-20130430 $
Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Fox3.

sudo apt-get install python-gtk2

maybe other modules will also be required. Then you'll see other error messages when starting the program.
