Rasbian updates

Tue Apr 30, 2013 5:06 pm

SD card corruption is not uncommon. Its a very time consuming process to re-write the image and then update the kernel/userland followed by updating the distribution. Is it possible to have monthly roll-ups of all updates in a new image hosted instead of the current ad-hock releases?

I would say that it's even easier to make your own backup image, which saves you the time of re-configuring your installation.

The scope of the request extends to multiple RPis that have different configurations and without physical access.

Alternatively, a document detailing the instructions/procedure used to create the official Raspian images so that I could produce the universal image myself would also be acceptable.
