linking 2 raspberry pi's

Fri Mar 29, 2013 2:57 pm

Hi - is it possible to take 2 Raspberry Pi's (1x512 MB version and 1x256 MB version) and link them to get more performance... meaning to make the whole desktop experience more fluid. I do not want to do distributed computing... just take advantage of the 2 pi's I have to make one computer that is faster...

Thanks!

You can link them together via the ethernet for example, but not to speed up your desktop, it wouldn''t work that way - more a distributed computing environment.

The way you pose your question makes it clear
that you understand distributed computing won't give you
"one" faster machine ... which means that you should know no
"desktop enviroments" which take advantage of distributed
computing exist ;)
