HDMI power saving mode with LG Flatron monitor

Sat Mar 23, 2013 5:44 pm

I Have a Raspberry Pi, the latest Debian OS and a LG Flatron IPS234 connected by an HDMI cable. The monitor starts up displaying 'HDMI power saving mode' but then when the Pi is powered up and running, it displays the Pi output OK. The problem is that after about a minute of starting up the Pi, the monitor drops into 'HDMI Power Saving mode'.
Prompted by reading existing topics, I have tried a range of settings in the config.txt file but these make no difference.
I have typed '/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -s' and the response is 'CEA (16) RGB lim 16:9, 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz, progressive'.
By the way, the monitor works fine with a PC and does not drop into Power Saving Mode.
Is there a basic incompatability between the Pi and the Flatron monitor or is there a setting that I am missing?
Thanks

Try Goolgling? Included in a general search was http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/qu ... play-sleep but there is a large list so it would be work some expermentation with the suggestions.

I did a search of the forums with "hdmi power save mode" and through up these candidates, but I get diverting into irrelevant posts!
