Setup NFS and mount ntfs share

Wed Mar 20, 2013 2:09 pm

Hi all,

I have a raspberry pi setup running raspian and it runs sickbeard / sabnzb and saves all downloaded files directly to an attached 1TB drive (formatted as NTFS).

All the media in a TV show folder on the root of the attached drive.

I have another raspberry pi setup attached to the TV which is running RASPBMC. I have been able to succesfully add the 1TB drive share (which is attached to the other pi) as a source in RASPBMC and all the content pulls through as expected. I was only able to achieve this by setting the share up as a SAMBA share. I have had 0 success in setting the share up as an NFS share (I have tried following various tutorials with very limited success)..

Can anyone please point me in the right direction as to how I set up the media folder on my 1TB drive as an NFS share that can be seen by the other Raspberry pi running RASPBMC.

In essence I just want to be able to add the 1TB share as a video source on the RASPBMC pi (via NFS as opposed to SMB)

Thanks in advance :)

Ah, this is exactly what I'm trying to do. I'm about at the same place.

Return to “Raspberry Pi OS”
