configure keyboard

i have an iogear GKM561R and i read that it works with my rpi, but it is not in the list of keyboards in the configuration window, and some keys dont work properly, how can i configure it, please go easy i'm new at this

Select one of the more generic keyboard from those that are available? Unless there is a particular feature you may well find that will be sufficient for your purposes.

I'm guessing you're in the US: the Pi's default is UK, and that's why "some keys dont work properly"

thanks choosing a generic brand did the trick
