I have bought the Raspberry Pi from Element 14 (shipping to America) and I have yet to be charged. Is it because it hasn't shipped yet? I have emails saying that I have ordered it, but I'm not sure if I maybe did something wrong.

I think you're OK. They normally send you an email when it is shipped plus one with an invoice. That's also when you'll be charged.

It's not uncommon for online retailers to wait with charging credit/debit cards until they ship the goods.

I'm waiting as well. E14 sent me order confirming email with a link in it to check my order status, which says it's back ordered.

I ordered from Newark Element I4 on the first day the pi was introduced and was not charged until it shipped. I just ordered two more today from Newark because I am done developing my main project and it is time to upgrade to the newer pi version and load the newer Raspbian software. Not looking forward to moving all my software and settings over though, but could use the speed increase. Looks like a long wait from Newark.
