A Pi with more power and updated ARM chip

Fri Feb 22, 2013 7:46 am

Hi all,
I love the Pi. It's a great concept. But it's under power and has an outdated ARM chip.
I'm sure there is a very large community of people who would pay more money to buy a more powerful Pi with an up to date ARM chip.
The Pi has an ARM V6 chip, but a version 7 ARM chip would allow more Linux distributions to be installed, for example Ubuntu.
Also, a more powerful Pi would be great.
May suggest two versions of the Pi, the current version at it's current low cost and a higher cost more powerful version.

Maybe the Foundation should just give in and appease the technophiles.
But then they would deem the SuperPi a disappointment and demand the UltraPi...

Best to jump out of the arm(s) race before it even starts.

A C type PI with a faster processor (7?) and at least 1 gig of memory would be great. Face it the vast majority of PI users are computer professionals looking for inexpensive Linux based arm processors for various projects.

Will the OP please go away and buy something else, rather than living in the Pi cloud cuckoo land.

This so boring that a few people once a week fill up the forum with these crap diatribes...................................
