silent boot & agetty

Sat Feb 16, 2013 8:30 am

Hi;

I've managed to achieve an almost silent boot, with the exception of the following message during autologin with agetty:

Code: Select all

ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty --noclear --nohints --noissue -a root %I 38400 linux

Code: Select all

alarmpi login: root (automatic login)
apparently this is a known issue and was fixed by someone: https://github.com/karelzak/util-linux/issues/21

I'm guessing that this probably can't be compiled for the RPI Arm, what is the procedure to report such issues and have them fixed ??

I am surprised that nobody more knowledgeable has answered you, so let me give it a go. If it is fixed upstream, then it will filter down to archlinuxarm. If it is not an upstream thing, then it would get reported at the raspberry pi part of github, sorry I do not have the exact URL. But if it looks like an issue with more than just the Pi, they will close the query and suggest you take it upstream (whatever that means).
