LXDE shutdown after autoboot

Sun Feb 10, 2013 11:50 am

Hello, recently loaded 2012-12-16-wheezy-raspbian; raspi-config ok with boot-behavior desktop=no. All working fine; logout LXDE no problem and sudo halt to close down the pi. N.B. No Shutdown or Reboot options on LXDE desktop.

Tried the autoboot with boot-behavior desktop=yes reboot ok.
PROBLEM:
LXDE Shutdown and Reboot options only briefly flash up a login page before returning to desktop!
Logout option gives a login page which accepts the pi login and password, then returns to the desktop!

How to fix? With thanks in advance.

LXDE probably has auto-login enabled.
Check Preferences -> Users and Groups to see if auto login is enabled. <-- I think that's it ?
Otherwise look around for a login manager of some sort and check if auto login is enabled in there.

Thank you Sir, the only login manager I can find is raspi-config itself. Do you know how to find the script that 'boot-behaviour' runs?

System Tools -> Login Screen perhaps ?
Sorry, I haven't used LXDE on the Pi in a while so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

That only has Taskmanager. No worries, I'll keep searching..

Thanks again.
