Run Mplayer from PHP

I have setup to stream audio from the web and have the sound go to the RPi's analog audio output but I want to take this one step further...
I've installed LAMP on the RPi and from my PC I would like to access a PHP web page on the RPi and launch that same remote audio stream and have it play on the RPi's analog audio output.
How would I do this?
