Idle Squeezebox Touch question

Tue Feb 05, 2013 9:23 am

I have a squeezebox touch that ended up sitting on the shelf just telling the time, poor thing. Is there any way it could be made to work as a screen for my pi, including ripping it apart and just using the screen itself somehow? If the latter, I'm not sure I'd actually try to do it, but I am curious.

With a good gui it might make a nice little audio player, both streamed and stored locally.

If you're lucky the Squeeze box LCD might have a DSI connector in which case you would be able to connect it directly to your Pi. It might be worth doing some research to find out if this is the case first though.

Something like this;

Thanks for the link. I'll definitely look into it and see if it at all possible.
