Would this powered USB hub be okay to power the Pi + Wifi?

I'm currently using a 5.25V 1A USB power adapter to power the Pi, but I'm having all kinds of problems with the Pi dropping power to USB devices while running (at this point mainly just my Wifi adapter, but I've noticed that it also happens to my keyboard the few times I've plugged it in). To (maybe) fix these issues, I'm planning on getting the above powered USB hub. Has anyone used it before? Would you recommend it for use with a Wifi adapter? I'm also planning on using it to power the Pi (connect the microUSB from the Pi to one of the USB ports of the hub when it's plugged in); is this possible to do?

In part, the answer depends on the revision of Pi that you have. My Pi was an older one that had the polyfuses in the USB power output lines. If yours is like that, then you would need to short across the USB polyfuses in order for sufficient power to reach the Pi board from the hub. Another consideration is that many hubs to not allow power to go from the hub back to the connecting board.
