Actually it does exist programs like 'macchanger'.
With it you can decide your own mac-address of your NICs. (Still in the default syntax xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
But is seems strange to have it set the default MAC to different OS.
Nothing that do any harm, just if you like to setup Custom IP-lists tied to specified MAC-addresses.
Guess your router won't be happy to assign 2 MAC to same IP. Then the 'macchanger' gets it to work.
A bit annoying I guess, and a bit strange.
