Help! (Huawei dongle from 3 ,Model: E353 Wu-1)

Wed Jan 09, 2013 5:11 pm

Hi everybody. I've just received my raspberry pi, but only have internet access via a Huawei dongle from 3 ,Model: E353 Wu-1. How do I get this working on my pi, bearing in mind I'm absolutely clueless about linux. Please can somebody explain in moron's terms how to get this working? And I mean moron's terms. 8-)

I have tried and tried in Raspbian Distro via Network Manager and gave up, even though the USB Dongle was plugged into a powered hub and recognised.

I bit the bullet and bought a Wired/Wireless Router for around £25.00

The UK TP-link TL-MR3220 supports the Huwai E3553 HPSA+ Dongle.
