You don't.

Flash only runs on x86 processors. There is "gnash", which runs on a Pi, but I doubt it will run YouTube very well....though the accelerated X that's in the works might well make a significant difference.

Adobe doesn't provide a working flash player for this system, (or any similar system for that matter) so what you are asking is impossible! However, there are other ways to watch youtube.

But there is another problem still, to view videos, they have to be decoded, and the CPU of the PI is not powerful enough to decode the youtube content by its own, it needs the support of the GPU (graphics processor) of the PI, for which its an easy task. But the GPU isn't used by the browsers the PI normally uses (at the moment).

There is already a simple solution though, simply use XBMC, which will enable you to bypass the whole browser and adobe flash system, similar to how you can watch youtube on an iPhone and iPad, with a specialized app, the PI has its own specialized software to watch youtube, and its called XMBC.

I didn't even bother trying. Have a look at raspbmc. You'll need another sd card but it works. Full media centre which boots in seconds.

As far as I know, you need a youtube plugin to use youtube on raspbmc so I presume you'll need a specific plugin for whatever site your streaming from. I am by no means sure about this and I would suggest you ask the same question on the raspbmc forum.

If you are only interested in youtube , use raspytube or whitey.
Always follow the latest instructions though !

• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org

It's already in raspbmc's list of plugins, you can install / activate it from video add-ons menu
