Pi arrived, not booting

Sun Jan 06, 2013 10:33 pm

Hello

My Raspberry Pi arrived today (Model B with 512MB RAM). I have plugged in keyboard, mouse, the preloaded SD card, the power adapter and the HDMI lead. Apart from the red PWR LED nothing happens. I have tried with an RCA video output too but to no avail.

The SD card, power supply and HDMI lead were all purchased direct from the manufacturer.

Any ideas?

Regards

Jason

jbassett,
If you have another SD card available I would try downloading and imaging it with the wheezy distro, then trying with that. They might have missed loading the card or it might be faulty. Keep your original to return if needed. Check that the card is inserted correctly and fully, the new SD card readers are stiff, and to me they insert upside down. Good luck,

It's something to do with the SD card. If it doesn't work after wiggling it/putting it in the right way/all the way, just try downloading and burning the image yourself. It's not difficult :)
