it's one without an external power supply, so I'd file that in the 'risky' pile, personally...
note: I may or may not know what I'm talking about...

In principle no, as it doesn't have an external power input. However, there are HDMI adapters like this one: Imagethat allow external power to be added to the HDMI cable, and they are cheap (a few dollars), but you must also add a 5V 400mA PSU, or power them from a hub. Although no HDMI adapter I know uses less than the maximum allowed 200mA, there have been people reporting they successfully used ones similar to these, but your mileage may vary.

Do you know of one that takes input from HDMI and outputs to VGA, with external power, on eBay?
