Is Amazon Dash dead?

Sat Aug 01, 2020 11:02 am

Hi,

I recently discovered that I had some old Amazon Dash buttons lying around that I had never set up.

I have been trying to hack them to trigger an IFTTT applet with my Pi 3. However, it just doesn’t work. I have tried to edit the amazon-dash.yml file with a variety of different tutorials.

I looked this issue up online, and I read that Amazon has apparently bricked its Dash buttons.

Is it still possible to use Dash buttons (never used before) with the Pi 3 and IFTTT? If so, how?

I am fairly new to the Raspberry Pi and this is my first post here - apologies if this isn’t what a forum post should look like.

Thank you!

I thought Amazon's Dash buttons were gone.

Don't know why they were discontinued in August last year. I personally loved the concept of Dash Buttons.

Good to know they are not literally dead.
