Pi4 fails to boot after reboot

Wed Jul 22, 2020 12:26 pm

The pi was running for about 5 days without issues. Then one day after reboot it was not accessible over SSH. The power LED is always on, but ACK LED blinks randomly for ~10 seconds and then remains off. The LED blink sequence is always the same. I checked the bootloader by powering without SD card and it had the correct sequence (4 blinks as said here viewtopic.php?t=58151).
My setup:
  • 8gb SDHC class 10 card
  • Raspberry Pi OS (32-bit) Lite (2020-05-27-raspios-buster-lite-armhf)
  • 3A power supply
  • headless with ethernet connected, wifi disabled and no USB or HDMI
The sd card is readable with diskinternals linux reader on windows. I used etcher to format the card. The Pi worked with another sd card with the same image.

Is there something I could try to get the pi to boot? I know I could reformat the card, but I would like to avoid copying the data from the old one.
