Bluetooth audio very glitchy

Tue Jul 21, 2020 4:44 am

Hi, I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4 with relatively fresh install of Raspberry Pi OS Lite running the plasma desktop. I'm trying to connect my Bluetooth earbuds to my pi, they show up in the plasma Bluetooth settings and let me connect (however when pairing for the first time I had to attempt to pair them multiple times, that might be a problem with the earbuds), I still wasn't able to select the earbuds as an output so I followed this guide: viewtopic.php?t=68779. Everything seemed to work just fine, I was able to select them as both an input and output however when I tried to play a YouTube video in Firefox from Ubuntu repositories the audio was very muffled, static-y, and just really bad overall. I also tried playing a video in Vivaldi, and epiphany-browser and I got the same audio quality. I was wondering if there is a way to view the errors that could be causing this problem, I know it is not a problem with my raspberry pi as I was able to get the audio to work just fine before, but I can't remember how I fixed it last time as it was a while ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
