Get youtube to autoplay in Chromium

Fri Jul 17, 2020 7:40 pm

Raspberry pi 3B desktop, trying to get
website youtube video to autoplay in Chromium.
Have opened "chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy"
and set the setting to "no-user-gesture-required",
but the video still does not autoplay.
Any ideas how to get it to work.

You are asking 1 of 2 questions about YouTube videos using the Chromium Web Browser. Either you are asking about "why Chromium does not play YouTube videos automatically." You can be asking about "how to play YouTube videos when starting up the Chromium Web Browser." The answer to the playing YouTube videos automatically when loading the YouTube video web page question. Using the Chromium Web Browser, load a YouTube web page. In the YouTube video player, click on the Settings button in the video player window. You will see the Autoplay setting. You can activate or disable Autoplay using the slider.

To play YouTube videos after launching the Chromium Web Browser, open the Settings menu in the Chromium Web Browser. You can access the Settings menu using the chrome://settings address in the address bar. Search for the On startup category, you will see 3 options that controls Chromium startup actions. To play YouTube videos when starting Chromium, add the web address of the YouTube video to the Open a specific page or set of pages option. Every time you start Chromium, you will see the YouTube video. This topic does not have anything to do with the Raspberry Pi computer. If you have Raspberry Pi computer questions, go ahead, and ask.
