Powering raspberry Pi 4 B

Fri Jul 03, 2020 2:41 am

So today I ordered my first raspberry Pi and it is model 4B. I am a complete beginner and I haven't ordered the official charger yet. The official charger rating is 5.1V 3 amp 15.3Watt but I already have a charger of rating 9V 2 amp 18Watt so can I use mine in place of official one to power the Pi 4B?? If I use it will it damage Pi?

Take a look here for the official power requirements: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... /README.md

Only supply 5V to the board, any more will instantly damage it.
