New Raspberry Pi user. My RPI4 8 gig version wont boot up to desktop. Help please

I have been fortunate enough to get the Raspberry Pi 4 8 gb as my first Pi. But I am not getting it to boot up. I'm excited to get going on it and need to get some help with getting it straightened out? I hooked up a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse my 55"tv for monitor ( only HDMI equipmed that I had to get started. A power supply that came with a starter kit for the the Pi 3b that I thought I was going to start with.
I loaded Noobs on the 16 gig SD mini like instructed and it just will not boot to the rest top like you see everyone else's in videos. If you need any more info that I've not thought to put here let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hi.

So if you are using a power supply for a pi3B which has a micro USB power plug, what adaptor are you using to connect it to your pi4B that has a USB C socket ?

What are the red and green LED's on the pi doing ?

How far does the pi get in to the boot sequence ?

Have you put the SD card in the socket on the underside of the pi ?

You can't (You can edit the content but leaving a blank message is not good either).
It looks as though the mods have already deleted the duplicate.
You can always report your own message (flag icon) and ask the mods to delete it, but usually they will not if the thread contains anything useful.

You are likely going to have more success getting things sorted with a USB connected keyboard (wireless or corded). On first boot you need to run through the initial setup and I don't believe Bluetooth is enabled initially.
