Screen selection...

Sat Jun 27, 2020 9:51 pm

Hi all

i am looking for cheap screen on Aliexpress. All what i see either need external power or have to be connected to HDMI.

My question is:

Is there a screen which works simply by connecting it to the connector on Board? Or external power/hdmi connection for the screen is a must?

I would like the screen to work on RPi3B+ and RPI4...

Thanks for any replies...

Cheap definitely, 26$ for 1024x600 9"(!) HDMI display:

While it needs powering besides HDMI cable connection, powering is done via one of the Pi USB ports.
That allows to use this monitor outside easily.

It has no touch, but the wireless keyboard I use has touch and all is fine.
Here you see it as one of dual displays connected to Pi4B:

Thanks for all replies.

That screen:

It has some additional wires on one of the pictures. What those wires are for?
