Hi,
I am completely new to using Raspberry Pi. Right now I have installed the latest versions of Raspbian and Kodi on a Raspberry Pi 4b.
In Kodi I could enable Pass-trough audio making my receiver ( Sony STR-DN1080) play Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS audio.
However, when I want to play a video using VLC, it only plays 2.0 audio even though the tracks are DTS 5.1.
I've tried using speaker-test -c6 and it shows that it plays sounds on 6 channels but the receiver only recognizes 2.0 (only plays Front left and Front Right)
What am I missing to get VLC or any other player apart from Kodi to play DTS on all channels?
By the way: the reason I am asking is that I have one video (John Wick - 2014) that freezes on Kodi before any frame shows. It does run on vlc and in Kodi on my desktop though.
Kr,
Dennis
