Dual boot with nOOBs & webOS

Fri Jun 19, 2020 6:57 pm

Howdy, I got a pi 4 the other day and put noobs (not lite) on a 32gb sd card, installed librelec and raspbian and now I wanna put webOS on it as the "third" OS on the sd card for now, so I can boot into any of the 3 and put even more on it down the line

I need help, written guide on exactly how to do this. It's impossible to find relevant info when googling. either 5 year old geeky posts trying to figure out how to do it, or guides about how to install noobs. Well I already installed noobs, I have no problem with it. I DONT wanna install OS'es on seperate SD cards, I just simly wanna transfer that webos image to the sd card and have it show up in NOOBS so I can install. If no one can guide me on how to do that please explain how else I should do it, without destroying the sd card I already built up with the previous mentioned installs.

NoobS is an installer / chooser and on set up you choose the Operating Systems you require and that is how it stays, there is no functionality to add additional Operating Systems unless you start again.

PiNN is a fork of NoobS and has more functionality so it ""may"" be feasible to achieve you aims, though it will require a fair amount tinkering.

There is a whole post dedicated to PiNN and the best place to post if you want to go down this route:

Very short answer: It can't be done.

Less curt answer: You are unlikely to be able to do this, given your apparent level of knowledge and experience.

Geeky answer:

Full official documentation for the NOOBS Installer here - https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/bl ... /README.md

In particular see How to create a custom OS version - https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/bl ... os-version
