How to cast from Android phone to Kodi

Fri Jun 12, 2020 10:41 am

Hi,

I have a Raspberry pi 4 (8go) and Kodi LibreElec. I would like to cast frm my phone audio and video from app which are able to cast as Spotify.

Airplay on IOS is working super easy but it seems impossible on Android, any idea?

Best,
R

Normally you won't be allowed to use Spotify music this way, cuz songs from Spotify are all protected by DRM. Any forms of use outside Spotify would be illegal because they're can't let these songs be used in public and without charging these users. So firstly you have to make sure that you cast these songs from Spotify only for private use, and then you can use things like TunesKit Spotify Music Converter to strip the protection. And just cast them by any casting software available for Kodi. I think this is the only way works. By the way, have you found any solution?
