Building a list of resources for low level GPIO

Mon Jun 08, 2020 7:24 am

Hello,

Started messing around with hardware on pi 3b +.

Used GPIO zero to get a feel of the components but have a interest in C/C++.

Wanting to do more low level programming with libgpiod.

I am currently look through kernel docs and very surface level blogs on running the basic 5 cli binaries (gpioinfo etc).

Was just wanting to build a list of resources/tuturials/docs that people use. Both specific to Pi GPIO programming but also general linux/linux kernel.

Please share anything that is even remotely related. I appreciate it all and look forward to being able to share the knowledge beyond.

Don't ignore hardware ,for software, playing around with hardware is one way of learning basic electronics,, you will find it rewarding

Just think in to the future , there will be thousands of Programmers looking for jobs , but very few Electronic Engineers, they will all be in work.
