Combination bluetooth keyboard and mouse pairs and connects but only the keyboard works

Sun May 24, 2020 1:20 am

I'm using up-to-date Raspbian Lite and trying to pair my Tap Strap 2 to my Raspberry Pi 4. I can pair and connect and use the keyboard, however when attempting to use the mouse it is not functional.

As far as bluetooth goes I think everything is fine on that front, I believe it's a configuration issue but I have no clue. I just know I'm not getting any bluetooth errors when I connect.

Code: Select all

[ 28.924443] input: Tap_D559240 Keyboard as /devices/virtual/misc/uhid/0005:1915:EEEE.0005/input/input13
[ 28.925820] input: Tap_D559240 Consumer Control as /devices/virtual/misc/uhid/0005:1915:EEEE.0005/input/input14
[ 28.926149] input: Tap_D559240 Mouse as /devices/virtual/misc/uhid/0005:1915:EEEE.0005/input/input15
[ 28.926630] hid-generic 0005:1915:EEEE.0005: input,hidraw2: BLUETOOTH HID v0.01 Keyboard [Tap_D559240] on DC:A6:32:8D:94:A7
So, no errors. everything looks good. But when I run either *hcidump* or *xev* and use the keyboard, i see that everything looks fine. The pi is receiving bluetooth data. However as soon as I attempt to use the mouse, both tools show zero mouse data being received by the pi.

What do I look for from here? This device is Ubuntu compatible, and it does work on my phone, it's fully functional. Originally the keyboard didn't work either but that was fixed by disabling the SAP bluetooth plugin but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

At this point my guess is that it has something to do with the configuration files in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/... maybe. Any ideas?
