2 DIFFERENT PHV MONITORING SYSTEMS ON THE SAME RASPY

Tue May 12, 2020 12:51 pm

Hi to everybody, I have recently installed on my Raspberry PI 4 ( 4 GB Ram + 32GB micro sd ) a monitoring system to see the production/consumption of my photovoltaic system, and the relative grid. This system includes Telegraf + InfluxDb + Grafana for the software side and a Shelly Energy Meter for the hardware. I would like to install on the same Raspberry a second monitoring system, which includes mbmd + InfluxDb + Grafana for the software and 2 x SDM230 for the hardware. But I fear these 2 systems would conflict as they are partly using the same softwares and there would be some overlap of the data collected by each system. If I take a new sd card and I put the second system on it , can I use each system time by time, just switching the sd card according to which system I want to use ? OR would this make a mess into my Raspberry ?

The Telegraf, influxdb and grafana can be used by both sets of sensors, you will have separate metrics for the sensors.
