Hi,
I have noticed the "privat tmp" extension (/tmp/private-.... -service.- ) in debian Buster.
I understand, some dedicated services use their own /tmp directory. I am a bit troubled by the reason for:
What are the advantages? What is the reason for?
How long is this /tmp directory extension valid? Until next reboot? What happens with (old) invalid pathes after reboot
How to disable this feature most easily - not "hacking" the system?
How to find out the temporary path name "/tmp/ ...." of each service after a boot ?
How to disable this feature in a general way for all services (switch back to the "old " /tmp usage ) ?
Any other remarks recommending usage of this feature?
Thanks in advance!
