USB Keyboard Key presses loose

Fri Dec 28, 2012 10:31 pm

Hi,

I have an MS Wireless Keyboard 1000.
It is hardly usuable with the Pi because key presses are lost or repeated forever.
It's an USB Keyboard and should just work.

Yes it "should" but it doesn't, as others have found too. Unfortunately the RPi's USB has some "issues". It isn't just wireless keyboards which are affected. Search the forum for the "elephant in the room" thread. Some progress has been made but as far as I know no-one has claimed a 100% satisfactory solution.

The cheap, no frills, wired USB keyboards appear to be best for the RPi.

Your keyboard has known problems with the pi:

Choose a different wireless keyboard, or the easiest solution is to get an inexpensive wired one as was suggested. Others have used powered hubs or modified config files with success.
