Monitoring system from Github to Raspberry PI 4

Sat May 02, 2020 12:30 pm

Hi to everybody, I have just got my brand new Raspberry PI 4 and set it up already. Now, I would like to install the monitoring system from Github ( see the below link ) :

https://github.com/glfp/SolarEnergyMoni ... fanaDocker

but being the first time I do this kind of operations, I would need some help. I tried to look for some tutorials but I could not find much:

1. Should I clone the image from Github, or better to download the .zip file ?
2. If cloning the image is the better option, should I need to install GIT on my Raspi, first ? Or no need ?
3. Or should I copy and paste each command line from the readme on Github and paste each time on Bash ?
Tks for anybody who can give me some tips...

There is a section headed Installation in the documentation found at the URL you cite above.

(I think it may be more complex than you appear to hope, based on the specific questions you ask.)

Hi, tks for your reply: I know it is not going to be easy , this is why I asked some help. Would you be able to give me some tips ? Also, I cannot see any section named "Installation" in that page. Tks

There seems to be a more fine-grained URL -
https://github.com/glfp/SolarEnergyMoni ... stallation

The text starts:
Installation
Order is not inportant (apart Docker), but raccomended.

All following commands must be sudoed. Enter as root

The best source of informed advice will be the developer/maintainer: https://github.com/glfp/SolarEnergyMoni ... ker/issues

Return to “Beginners”
