Keyboard issue

Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:00 pm

I am a beginner with Raspberry Pi so please be patient. Today I booted up my Raspberry Pi 4 for about the 6th time and neither the mouse or keyboard would respond. No lights on keyboard are lit and the light on bottom of mouse is not lit. If I unplug the keyboard the mouse will work, if I unplug the mouse the keyboard still will not work. I can switch the USB ports with no change in problem. The keyboard lights are labeled 1, A and a down arrow and would assume at least one should be lit to show it is powered? Any help would be appreciated.

It could be a power problem.
Does your keyboard light up? Does the Pi display a yellow lightning icon in the top-right corner of the screen?

I've developed the most intuitive RaspiOS img editor on the planet.
With a GUI similar to Gparted, managing imgs and sd cards is a breeze!
Boot it in a VM, Flash from the Internet at top speed, Mount (to drop in files), Shrink/Expand, Repair, and more.

What are you using to supply power? (if not the RPI official supply, include the voltage and current rating.)
Is anything else (apart from keyboard and mouse) connected to USB or GPIO?

Can you try a different keyboard?
