Debian Image Builder (4B, 3B+, RPi0W)

Sun Apr 12, 2020 9:02 am

I've been using these scripts in one way or another for over a year now and recently decided to Github them. The master branch has links to sample images you can download and all the other branches house the scripts, files and other bits.

Since i usually run my Pis and other boards headless, that's how the scripts are set to build and what the images provided are. Running 'sudo tasksel' can just as easily get you a desktop on a Pi4/3B+ if that's your needs.

Well, just thought I'd share and I hope someone finds them useful. ~Cheers

To much has changed to list, but as for what is now supported.

  • Debian (headless/desktop)
    Devuan (headless)
    Ubuntu (headless)
Notable:
Images now use UUID and PARTUUID.
First boot checks and grows partitions on - mmcblk0, mmcblk1 and sda.
Armv7l has been dropped, but can still be built using the legacy branch.
The builder now uses make commands and has a menu interface.
Branches: Debian, Devuan, Desktop, Mainline, Legacy and Ubuntu.

Sample images can now be found under Release.
