Yet Another Cabinet

Thu Dec 27, 2012 1:58 am

Hello Guys and Gals,

well, i diddn't found any suitable answers, so i'm "forced" to ask around his Section of the forum.
I would like to build my own Bartop-NeoGeo-Arcade-Mini-Cabinet, with parts of my "storage" :D
As a display I would use my good old Samsung BF930 (yes, via DVI-HDMI Cable), therefore i need a solution for the Audio-Playback... because i read a lot that the Audio-Out Jack won't work if HDMI is used...
Anyone got more luck with that?

The input Device is a classic Arcade Stick - just 4 buttos around a moving axis :D, and some Sanwa-Style 30mm Buttons in the NeoGeo Colors. i would prefere to use the the GPIO, but still could't find any documents 'bout the pinouts or something similar :(
Also i don't know if the GPIO could handle 10 buttons (in worst case it should be able to forward 6 signals simultaniously) - and i could't find any information how to implement it into a software like gneogeo

and then there is the software part...
I found in Shea Silverman blog a working souluion, and would grab on that :D

but sice i dont have any idea how to solve the first two Problems, i'm desperate enough to ask around here :)

Some Documantary/Photos/Sletches needed to visualise it better?
