Regarding the SD card

well, it may seem a stupid question, but... where the heck is the SD card going to be plugged? On the photos of the boards there's nothing similar to a slot, but in the early images there where some kind of metallic things on the rear,where the SD is supposed to go (judging on the design image, where you see models A/B).

I'm really interested in this, since I'm not so keen in having to solder stuff on a device... a new one even less.

I'd really like if someone could reassure me or better the staff could post an image that lets me (us) see that.

Meh, I know there is a FAQ... and I was referring to that image. Still it's not enough, since you can't see the card plugged in the actual device, just an indication where the SD card should go.

There will be an SD card socket on the board when you get it. It is not on the pictures of the beta boards because of supply problems with the particular part that is to be used in production. The boards that were sold or otherwise distributed had a different, larger, socket instead, but the pictures were taken without a socket, probably to avoid misleading people.

It will fit in the big white square on the underside, and the SD card will probably, I am informed, poke out about 18mm.

oh, that's just what I needed to ear. thanks for the info.

I suppose we'll get updated images of the producted board too, when they are ready for selling I suppose.

now I just need to find a micro-usb power source and I'm done… well, I'd still need the Pi itself… and the ARM port of the Oses… XD
