Mon Mar 30, 2020 9:24 am

https://www.hackster.io/zecil-software/ ... -tv-de05d3

I am trying to setup windows10 iot core with the app shown in the url above.

1>Error: Unable to connect to the Microsoft Visual Studio Remote Debugger named 'WINIOT'. The Visual Studio 2015 Remote Debugger (MSVSMON.EXE) does not appear to be running on the remote computer. This may be because a firewall is preventing communication to the remote computer. Please see Help for assistance on configuring remote debugging.
When i try deploying the app i continually get the message above.
Any help would be appropriated.
OH and i have followed the Microsoft documentation so dont send me that [Mod: edited out bad language - don't do that]

There are very few users of Windows 10 IoT Core here because Microsoft have halted development to support the 3B+ / 3A+ / 4B.

Your best bet is the MSDN Forum:

Though long term it may be prudent to find an alternative solution ?

A solution to what?

No doubt the project as described using a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, the same Philips gadget and the exact versions of software specified in the linked article works fine.

If you have anything, even slightly, different, it may not work. You would have to say exactly what hardware you have there in order to ask your question.

It definitely will not work on recent model Pi for which there is no working Windows operating system. As noted above.

I notice a certain Matthew Wieting, sound familiar, asked about this in the comments to this project in the link given 4 months ago. The project creator has apparently abandoned his project.

The solution then is to upgrade to the Raspbian OS and search google for a Philipps abiant ligh solution. Like this one:

Easy.
Memory in C++ is a leaky abstraction .

You are both flogging dead horses. Microsoft had completely abandoned development of Win10 IoT on Raspberry Pis before the RPi3B+ came out on 14th March 2018.
