SLA 3D Printer base on Raspberry Pi

Tue Mar 24, 2020 3:55 am

After thinking about it for a long time, I finally decided that my friends and I are going to make a 3D printing kit based on Raspberry Pi by hand. All the processes and steps are accompanied by screenshots and text to show everyone the process. Interested friends can make a photocuring 3D printer of their own.

1. The first step is to understand the structure of the existing machine, we bought a SLA 3D machine in the world.
[url moderator removed malformed link [/url]
2.The second step is to disassemble and analyze the machine.

I will gradually update the steps of dismantling the machine in the follow-up.

Open the packing box and have a look at the specific model.

The printing time is very long, 12 hours, and the result is easily damaged.

I don't like this color,The surface of the printed model is a little sticky, with a layer of glue-like substance.Consulted the photosensitive resin supplier, said to be cured for the second time will be relatively dry, if not cured for the second time, you need to bask in the sun for 2 to 3 days.

Before I made my own machine, I took other people's machines apart and analyzed them, and then I began to make my own machine. Let's take a look at the bare devices outside.

The above pictures are from my whole process of dismantling the machine. That is too simple, is a picture through violet light, similar to the previous principle of light machine.

Next I wanna to make a better product.I wanna to make that more fast and more bigger printing area than it

this is a compare data between its.

In order to find a better solution, I visited an industrial 3D printing equipment factory today. This equipment prints well. We plan to make our Raspberry Pi 3D printer according to the principle of industrial printing equipment. The equipment made can directly replace industrial equipment.

Thanks for the teardown pictures; never seen inside a SLA machine before. I guess the simplicity you gain in only having a stepper on the Z-axis is balanced out by great big huge power LEDs. Decent ARM®Cortex®-M4 µc on there. But the big Anlogic FPGA is likely doing all the clever bits.

Good luck with your project/product! 3D printing really only becomes affordable when patents expire, and some of the industrial processes are very tightly locked down.

I think "great big huge power LEDs" will lead to the bottom of the heat is particularly large, I hope to be able to improve this part, using a centralized parallel laser to replace the led light source.

After another week of hard work, and finally put together the motherboard and control screen, the first use of the market mature LCD.To make the first prototype, the industrial machine components of the galvanometer have come back, but the motherboard has not yet been ready.

Recently, I have been busy looking for suitable suppliers, spent a lot of time, visited many processing plants, and finally made my own samples. After preliminary debugging, it can be printed, but it will take a while to come back for small batch production.

I want to share the design information with everyone, but the file is too big, more than 2mb. Does anyone know how to transfer large attachments?
