no sound on raspbian wheezy

i have no sound out of the hdmi and the 3mm jack
i have the raspbian wheezy os
and if there is a solution please help me find one... thanks

i have tried everything i could find on how to fix and a few things have come up

1) 3mm jack is fuzzy sounds like it is buzzing with the cpu functions
2) no sound on everything but xine media player
3) sound is in mono not stereo

that is all for now

i have since come to the conclusion that it is a hardware thing that is happening

Did you do the "hdmi_drive=2" thing?
