WhatsApp on RPi Android?

Has anybody installed the real WhatsApp and using it to make and receive voice calls?

If so, I'd be grateful to know your configuration, etc.

But in case anyone is ever intersted, I can confirm that WhatsApp is running, straight out of the box.

I'm using:
RPi 3B
Emteria 1.1.0 (Android 7.1.2)
Cheap USB sound card with headset plugged into it

https://web.whatsapp.com scan the QR with your phone, keep your phone logged on while the web browser session is in use.

No it's not the web version, which does not do voice calls.

Download and install the apk:
https://www.whatsapp.com/android/

Ignore the bit about tablet.

On the Pi, the start WhatsApp application and it will ask for your mobile number - you don't need WhatsApp installed on that phone. It will then send an activation code by SMS. Enter the code on the Pi. And that's it.

For audio, just plug a headset into a USB sound card. No configuration required.
