Which Power Source

I just received a Raspberry Pi and I was wondering if I could use this as a battery source. Aso, could I use it as a power source if I had the rPi plugged into this, and this plugged into the wall? Thank you!

It would work but it is a very expensive unit for NiMH battery technology. Have a search on eBay for 12000 mAh Li-Ion emergency chargers which will do a better job.

I am confused; twenty dollars does not seem very expensive, and when i searched ebay, many of the results were approximately the same price.

It may run your Raspberry Pi for a couple of hours per charge. There was no stated specs on the charger, so I do not know if it will power the RasPi and charge the battery or not. There was no statement of whether it can be used while charging either.

The Raspberry Pi can use up to 750ma. This means that pack may only last a little over an hour. It depends on what you plug into the RasPi. Most people who are using a USB "battery" are using 3000ma or better.
