Keyboard Issues

Tue Dec 25, 2012 1:26 pm

I have got the latest Raspberry Pi (Debian GNU/ Linux Wheezy) and my keyboard frustratingly won't work.
After reading some articles I have checked the power output and it is at a perfect level (5.2V) and the keyboard I use is in the list of compatible USB keyboards (Dell SK - 8115 100mA).
I'm stuck on the first screen asking for the login and the keyboard just won't do anything!!!
No lights on it or anything...

Where are you measuring the Voltage at 5.2V ? Try measuring it between TP1 and TP2 on the RPi Board and post the reading here.

I suspect that you have excessive voltage drop either in your MicroUSB Cable or the F3 Polyfuse or both.

I did take this reading between TP1 and TP2...
I also tried different MicroUSB cables. Still did not work.

By "I have got the latest Raspberry Pi (Debian GNU/ Linux Wheezy) " do you mean that you have Raspian Wheezy 2012/12/16 as downloaded from this site?
